Covering the locs at night...

I've been wearing something on my head at night for as long as I can remember. It has always been staple for me. No matter how I wore my hair. I've been rocking a satin bonnet for years. YEARS!

I also have a satin pillow case that I sleep on as well but for the most part, the bonnet stays on all night.

I don't even lay on carpet without putting something over the locs. That lint issue is no joke and I don't want to have 7-year old locs with a crap load of lint trapped in them. I know it's unavoidable but if I can decrease the chances a bit, then I will do just that.

Do you wear anything on your head at night?

ETA: Ladies with longer locs, check out this post. Who knew there were shower caps just for long hair-ed folx? Beautiful!

No Ma'am Ms Pam. My head is very particular and any sort of covering tends to give me massive headaches as well as causing my body temperature to spike... I just take the risk. So far so good, but I'm only six months in

Oh yes, always have! I wear a satin cap as well. I also wear a headwrap during the day so to not touch my hair or attract lint. basically, when i'm not out in public, i cover it up!

Yeppers and I'm not loc'd but like you, I've been covering my hair for years. It's a silk-y hanky and also a satin-y pillow case.

I had the same satin bonnet but my locs got too long for it to stay on all night! Even the extra large one :o) Now I just pile the locs on the top of my head and rock a satin scarf.
I found that bonnet hot as hades during summer nights though.

I have the same satin bonnet that I wear 90% of the time. When I'm cleaning, lounging, or sleeping. I wore one when I had a perm, so it's a force of habit that I don't think will ever change.

I started out just sleeping on my satin pillow case, but my hair is ultra soft and frizzes easily, so I've added my satin scarf. It seems to helps tremendously. I'm thinking of trying Satin Sakks. Has anyone here tried it? If so, what's your opinion of the product?

Nope Satin and Sateen pillow cases assure that I can sleep freely and look beautiful while I'm at it. LOL!

Even when slightly tipsy Monday night, I threw my bonnet on! I don't play! LOL

I wear a bonnet when I have curls and a satin scarf when it's straight. The ends stick of the scarf but lint hasn't been an issue since I've been doing the ACV rinses.

oh yes I do got my satin scarves and I do the satin pillow, I think this has been key to keeping the lint to a minimum and brushing

Ha, you look like me at night. I LOVE my bonnet, it def. helps with keeping that pesky lint out. It also stays on my head better than scarves tend to.

I wear a bonnet too whenever I lay down on anything! I don't do lint either!
