Update on married locs...

They are finally meshing together. Most, if not all of the locs that I combined have completely married at the roots. I have only a few double headed dragons and I am finally okay with the condition of my locs. My scalp is healthy and even though the fuzziness is out of control, I just don't care.

The ends seem extra brown, uh? I promise I haven't done anything to them. I think it has to do with a lot of the running and swimming I do outside. I love it. My natural hair color is just so boring and...normal. Boo.

I spy a rubberband. Can you? I only have 2. But for the most part the locs are starting to look less like 2-strand twists and more like locs, uh? 'Bout time.

Loc adornments are becoming as important to me as earrings.

Funny thing is,  I love when my locs are freshly twisted AND when they're all wild and fuzzy.

Some folx are all like, "OMG, I HATE the look of locs with twisted roots." Others say, "I can't stand 2 inches of afro at the roots of my locs." But yep...I stand right in the middle.

Peace

They are looking good and lovely B! My married locs are basically in the same condition as yours, they are married completely at the root. Mine still look like 2-strand twists though, but I'm okay with that. Thanks for the combining update, I'm glad that you love your locks more again :)

When I had mine (don't worry, I'm getting them back soon) I loved the in between look too. So, I'm right along with you! :) The pictures are nice.

hey brittany! love the pics and your locs are AWESOME! i've got several dragons also and i love 'em! my fuzziness hasn't completely gone away yet and it's been 2.5 years--guess i'll just always have it. it's just my hair texture. only 2 inches of new growth?!? HAHAHA--I ROUTINELY HAVE THREE INCHES unloc'd at the root--again just the texture of my hair. loc on sistah girl...blessings!

They are looking great!! I too have several dragons around the back area and it was something that I had to do, so I'm cool with it! I'm planning to do some coloring in the next few weeks, I just haven't decided WHAT color to do yet. Thanks for keeping "us" motivated B!!

Looking good, looking great B! I'm in the middle when it comes to the freshly twisted and non-freshly twisted look too. The only thing I don't really love is the fuzziness of the shaft of the loc. I wish they would just come on and smooth themselves out already, lol. Other than that, I love my 17 month old locs!

By the way, fierce face, go girl!

i'm at the infant stage of my locs and I love your hair. I love your blog. I am impatient about so many things but my locs is helping me with in the patient department. You are truly a blessing B. Keep the blog rolling. You are my loc-shero!
