Video: Combining locs

Love sista girl's videos! I just wish I could learn to embrace my 2-headed dragons the way she's embraced hers but I doubt that will ever happen.

I'm starting to think that most if not all loc'ers at some point combine, especially around the edges. Have any of y'all not so newbie loc rockers combined?

First time commenting, but I dig your site! I've had my locs for 8 years now and they've started to thin around the edges, so I've been combing the innnanets looking for a solution and found your site. I have about 6-8 double headed dragons througout that I take pride in. They're like the rebels of locs that refuse to do what the other 100+ locs are doing. I love em! Combining allows me to maintain length (my hair is about 3-4 in beyond my brastrap), and anchor thinning hair to a thicker, stronger loc. Also, in the 8 yrs that I've been loc'd, no one has ever noticed a double headed dragon except me, my loctician, and my lil' cousins that insist on playing with hair (after they wash their hands, of course).

This is completely off topic B, but check out this clip of the woman with the longest dreads washing her hair: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzYaFhZD5s0&feature=player_embedded#!

i have never combined, but that's because i have thicker locs than most newbies (I have 66 of them). my first set of locs were fairly thin, and due to the maintenance involved with having so many, i undid them, and vowed to never have thin locs again. it never occurred to me at the time to combine!

I haven't combined yet (almost 3 yrs in) but every now and then the thought crosses my mind.

My edges are fine *knock on wood* but I do have some thin ones in the back. My texture is different back there, very fine and wispy.
