Guess whaaaaat?

I'm gettin' my hair colored tonight. I can not freakin' wait. It's been close to a year since I've done a permanent color. My roots are darker than I'd like and a sista is just craving some color. My goal is to go lighter all over (think honey brown) and to highlight a few locs with red/orange dye. This is my first time going to a professional and I'm freakin' out. Sooo hoping that it comes out exactly like how I want it.

Stay tuned for the pics, y'all!

OOOOOO...color!!!! I cant wait to see it. I love color. Just gives the extra "umph", doesnt it?
I'm thinking of retouching my red next month. It has faded, but I like the shade it has become.

I totally loved your red. One day I'm going to go red all over.

Having colored mine, I'm not a fan of hair color for my personal tastes.

Do rock it out and tell us how it goes since I'm interested in hearing what the process is like for growing locs. In my case, I colored my TWA before getting my dreads the 3rd time 'round.

Girl, I've colored my locs a good 4 or 5 times and documented the journey. I was on a "no hair color" strike for a while because I found myself to be rather addicted to dye. I doubt I'll ever stop...just don't want to do it too often. And definitely not without a professional.

Our locs must be on that same stuff lol. I'm dying to have my dyed a coppery color, you know some sort of red that has brown in it. I hope it turns out wonderful.

@Mark So good that you're waiting. The more mature the babies, the better!

@Ma'at Whaaaat! You're not cursing me out for wanting color? That's the first! LOL!

@BasicWoman I'm posting pictures first thing in the morning. :)

I know you can't wait! I'm surprised you've waited this long! lol...good luck and can't wait to see the finished results!

When I went in and said, I'd like "red", I have hues of red, orange, blonde and copper---all unintentionally! I love, love, love it!

You've been a good girl for such a long time, I'd feel wrong begrudging you a professional dye job. I say this as I sit here with a head full of textures and tones cherrywood dye. oo I also know how you love loc jewelry so you have to check out my latest blog post.
