I spy...length!

Yesterday as I was drying my hair, I noticed something...

Length! And just to prove to y'all that I'm not exaggerating, I found a picture of my locs from this time last year.

And then almost TWO years ago...

So to all of you newbie loc'ers out there (shouts out to iRockLocs and my girl, Sheryl!), know that yours locs need only a gallon of love, 2 quarts of patience and just an ounce of manipulation to grow.

Sammy---> I know, right? Time really flies!

Trecia---> Darling, where you been? There's an upcoming natural hair event in Toronto. I'm thinking that you can probably find a loctician there. You should go! http://www.locrocker.com/2010/11/big-chop-event-toronto-canada.html.

I'm so inspired! My locs are a little longer than yours when you first started them. I'm waiting on the day when I can celebrate some serious hang time! lol

Yay! Thanks for the shout out, B! It's so awesome to see your growth from one year to the next. I was just taking pics of mine after the retwist and the amount of growth I see is ridiculous. I can't believe it! Your locs look amazing...as usual! :)

Don't you just love pics? They're a great way to track progress.

It feels good to look back and see how far you've come.

Loving the new digs! That header banner is funky.

This post came right on time. Your growth is amazing and gives me inspiration. Like other newbies, I'm ready for some hang time. I was convinced my hair wasn't doing anything until I took some comparison shots. Those always do it.

Your hair is beautiful. Rock on!
