Long Hair Kinda Do Care...

I really shouldn't complain. I mean...it's a silly thing to complain about. But but...

My hair is getting long!

I'm not used to this much hair growing down. When I was a loose natural, the hair grew up. It never touched my neck. And now I've got locs touching the tip of my back. Wowsers! I hope I can get used to it. Lately it's been a wee bit of an annoyance. Love you anyway, locs.

On another note...is it just me or do my locs look hella immature? To be almost 16 months, shouldn't they look a bit more loc'd? The pic makes them look like fuzzy twists. Maybe the combining has something to do with it. Not complainin', but sayin'...

Your locks are beautiful! They are growing. Love the color :)

I wish mine would stop growing. I have to keep a scrunchy with me. I have to pull them back when I eat!

2 years for me and my locks still don't look mature...most ends are still loose.

I wish mind would grow, I think mine have been the same length since I started. Lol I'm dying for a ponytail.

But I guess in due time

Congrats! Your locks are simply beautiful!I know how you feel! I thought it would take forever for my locs to get shoulder length! 28 months and they are passing my shoulders. 2" of hair to start off. Time flies!

They are looking good B! I know what you mean, I'm getting used to the locs creeping on my neck too, it is kind of weird but I'm sure it takes some adjustment. Hehe, well, the way I look at it, it takes longer than 2 years to have mature looking locks, 16 months is probably still young for them even though it may not seem that way lol. I have some locs that look so mature while the majority of them still look like 2 strand twists. Just give em' time.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm consantly moving locs out of my eyes or putting them in a ponytail.A couple of times I've slapped my neck thinking something was crawling on me lol. My hair has never in my life been this long and takes a bit to get used to but I'm still loving the locs and I can't wait to see how long they get before I think about trimming them. Yours are gorgeous by the way :)

Funny I've been having the same experience, getting used to my ahir length and having to put the hair in ponytails, didn't factor in the learning curve for getting used to long hair lol!

My locs are 2.5 years old, and STILL don't look fully mature. But I'm starting to LOVE the wildness of them...I look around and so many ppl's locs look uniform. I feel like mine have personality!

I could not WAIT for my locs to get long. I have always had long hair, and was desperately missing my pony. It was irritating when they were at that awkward hanging-round-the-neck phase, but now that they got a lil hang time, I can experiment with some new styles. Your locs look lovely. Stay encouraged!!!!!!

B, your locs look like locs... your combined locs look like twists. because they are two loc looking locs twisted together. You're so dramatic lmao I'm kidding about the dramatic part... sorta The locs are beautiful and so are you.

just wanted to say I read you blog all the time and you kinda encouraged me to do the lock thing, because to tell ya the truth, i really did not have a whole lot of support well except my mom. I 've been natural for 2 and a half years and it will be three years in june yah!!! But anyway keep doing what your doin, cuz your helping younger sistas like me. I also have a youtube channel if you wanna check it out at www.youtube.com/missijeleONE. Thanks and God Bless!!

I was JUST saying this to my mom. I always rocked my hair short. Hair on my neck takes getting used to. :o)

They look great! My locs did the same thing.. so much that i went to see my cousin who has beautiful 6 year old locs. I was almost in tears worried about why mine looked so immature, but it just took 'em a little longer. They'll get there!
