Fascinators anyone?

One of my greatest friends here in Orlando is Christine. She's a hardworking nurse by day and jewelry maker by night. I didn't know about her hidden talent of making fascinators until a few months ago.

Don't judge me but I didn't even know what a fascinator until last year. Fascinators are intricate hair accessories. They come in various styles, colors and shapes. They include feathers, nets, buttons, bows and whatever trinkets the designer may dream up.

Chris makes stunning fascinators for women of all hair types. I'll be doing a full feature of some of them soon but wanted to show y'all a few that she had on her when we recently got together for lunch. I happened to have my camera on me and started snappin' away.

Giveaway! PIEORE Jewelry

The natural hair lady owned jewelry line, PIEORE has been so gracious to offer one Loc Rocker a piece of fly jewelry. Check out what Brooke of PIEORE has to say about her brand.

"My products can be found over at www.pieore.com. Though it is not public knowledge, PIEORE stands for Possibility is Everywhere and Opportunities are Endless.

I strive to be positive and live a life that is inline with my essence and true spirit. My jewelry is a reflection on experiences that have influenced my life positively. These experiences include faith, the belief that regardless any circumstance at the core I am truly blessed and;  yes, I do believe the zodiac has influenced my personality in both and bad ways!"

Here's how to win a pair of zodiac earrings or necklace:

Get a Loc'd up and Free t-shirt!

I've gotten a mess load of emails about where to find this tee and so here it is, darlings. My bootleg photoshoot of the t-shirt and the website where you can find it.

Founder Natasha (also co-founder of the Central Florida Natural Hair show, woot!) has recently launched a  natural hair inspired t-shirt line. Kin Clothing has got some pretty funky t-shirts and I'm lovin' that there is one of us loc'd ladies.

Yep. It's dope. You can snag it for $16.99 from the e-store.

Erma Custom Hair Ties

Hi lovelies!

I've always seen those hair ties for loc'd hair and couldn't wait for my babies to get long enough to try them. Well, what do you know? Apparently medium size locs work well for them!

Insert Erma Custom Jewelry and Hair Ties

The company is run by a husband and wife team out of California. They specialize in custom hair ties. If you don't find anything in their Etsy shop (totally doubt that will happen), they can whip up a lil' somethin'-somethin' for you. The hair ties range from $15-$30 and come in range of styles and colors.

They work for funky weekend styles and for ladies like me who have to dress professionally for work but still want to add her own unique style.

And I found 2 ways to wear them.

Almost like a headband...

And almost like a large ponytail...

Not that my red and green hair tie goes with my purple blouse but uh....yeah. HA!!

I can dig it.  It's perfect for summer because y'all know how I feel about locs all over my face. It's way too hot for that!

Check out Erma's Custom Hair Ties here.

Natural Entreprenuers: Rachel Stewart

Lawd, I can't believe I haven't bragged about Rachel Stewart yet. I remember first finding her site from Clutch Mag and falling in love. Like OMG...how does someone's online presence radiate like that? I really want to be her friend in real life because she seems THAT dope. And the sista is talented. The gorgeous headband that I am rocking was made by her. Check out her blog here for other beautiful pieces of jewelry and hair wear. Tell her B from LocRocker sent you.

And if you're bored enough, you can check out the video where I sported my Rachel Stewart.

Don't fret, I mention her in the first minute of the video so you don't have to sit and listen to my rambling about a mascara. I know er'body ain't a beauty nut like me. :)

You go, Rachel! Will continue to support and brag about you all day long!

Natural Entreprenuers: LocXurious

Twitter is like the International 'Find A Friend' meeting space. I ain't lyin', y'all. I am always running across someone who I am inspired by. I'm not sure how I ran into @Locxurious but I am so glad I did. It took no time for me to order from her shop. She sells handmade loc/natural hair adornments, earrings, natural hair products and necklaces. And everything is moderately priced. Loves it! I scooped up...

The "Baby You're A Star" loc adornment.

Love love LOVE this one.

The loc adornment with the scissors charm. Super unique. I haven't put it in my hair yet. I may need some help with that one.

And some fabulous green-y leaf earrings.

She knows I'll be back. In the meantime, check out her shop here and tell her that B from LocRocker sent you. I just loooove supporting fellow entrepreneurs.

Oh, and remember the post on loc'd love? Her and her man qualify too.

Hotness!!
